In Search of Answers

I crack my neck as I step on to the ground. Sophie by my side and my dragons behind me, I give a slight smile. "I hope you don't think this will be easy." Sophie says, a slightly worried expression on her face. I laugh slightly taking my twin blades out from inside the satchel on Chaos. "Peace of cake. Just can't do anything reckless." I smile at her and put on my trench coat. "So you're saying it's a suicide mission. You are the poster boy for recklessness." She says, a hand on her hip. I laugh and nod contemplating what she's saying. "Well if you're scared then stay here." I say. "Look Sophie, I admit this won't be easy but I need answers and the only one who has them is on the top floor of that castle because that specific demon has meddled in my life so much and this is bound to be him." I say, as I sit down and start to sharpen my blades. "Now do me a favor and call Vergil. I have a feeling I'll need him." I say, continuing to sharpen the metal.

I sigh. "No need, I have this place heavily monitored, I knew you were going here before you even arrived." I said as I pulled myself out of the nearby shadows. "Tell me what you intend to do here?" I said with a stern face.

I stood up and sheathed my swords. "Well you see, I need answers about my brother, and my sister. Who better to ask than the demon has meddled in both our lives." I say, a foreign look of seriousness plastered on my face. "I know I might be on a wild goose hunt, but the worst I can do is nothing." I sigh and place my hands on my temples, trying to sooth another oncoming migraine. "Anyways, you know this place better than I do, so would you help. Would you put away your pride for this moment and help a human find his family." I ask extending my hand towards him.

I chuckled softly as I looked at the towering castle. "This damned place seems to constantly be a place that people search for answers, but find something else..." I muttered to myself. "Very well, I'll help you, but you may not like what you find." I said as I pushed the door open to the Foyer.

I sigh and walk next to him. "Maybe so but it's worth a shot." I say, brandishing my blades. The first demons to encounter us was were two guards sitting at the bottom of a set of stairs. They rushed us and I decapitated one with a scissor motion, his blood splattering across my front. I left the other for Vergil knowing he would like to cause a little bloodshed.
