the ballroom

Vergil stood in a large ballroom, he looked around and saw a large chandelier hanging overhead and large windows in the far wall. "Nice architechture." He said with an impressed look on his face. A group of shadows dropped from the ceiling. "Could do without the heartless though." He said and impaled one. before pulling it out he summoned a blue sword of light and launched it into another, which flew out the door. he pulled the blade out of the other one and sheathed it. He looked around and saw there were more, so he pulled out his blade and did an upward slash to another and sent it flying. He jumped up and began slashing it until it was shadow bits. more and more heartless came. "This is just never ending. even I couldn't endure such feirce waves." Vergil said. He stood blade drawn waiting for another to attack, but none did. they began to scatter in different directions. "What?' He said and the room went dark. he was hit by a large invisible arm and he hit a piller. He got up and saw a large creature, with spiky redish fur, blue skin, and large claws, he realized that this creature was called a Dark Thorn. "Aw great." he said as the Dark Thorn attacked him with it's large claw, Vergil blocked it with his katana, but he began to be pushed back.

As Red walked in he heared something in the ballroom "Whats that?"he asked him self,he ran in to the ballroom"Need some help?"he asked Veirgil.

"Nope, I'm fine." Vergil grunted as he pushed back as hard as he could and the Dark thorn's hand shot up and it spun around and got headbutted. he smacked a pillar and he got up and shook his head. he jumped onto it's back and stuck his Katana in and twisted. the Dark Thorn shrieked and fell to the ground. "See? I just finished -" he began to say but the Dark Thorn grabbed his leg and through him at a piller. he got up but he couldn't hold his katana up. his arm hurt bad. "Gah, my arms broken." he said as he held his arm.

Red saw that Vergil was hurt. "I'll help wheather you like it or not." he said as he strung his bow. he shot the Dark Thorn in the face it began to shriek as it thumped around the ballroom. He strung another and shot it in the chest.

Vergil smiled as he lifted his broken arm. he did a sharp yank and let out a grunt when a loud crack sounded. he then grabbed his Katana and stabbed the Dark thorn in the brain, finishing it off.

Red looked at Vergil and sighed. "You coulda done that at any time, huh?" he said putting his bow onto his back, and watched as the Dark Thorn died.

Vergil kept a straight face as he nodded and placed his sword back in it's sheath. "I would have ended it much more quickly if I were at full speed." Vergil said as he patted him on the shoulder, and walked out the main doors.
