Castaway

*BOOM*

Startled from a deep sleep, I rolled out of bed and landed in a heap of bedding and limbs on the floor. As I disentangled myself from my blanket, I looked out of the porthole in my cabin aboard the Vashira to see nothing but black skies. "Oh great, a storm. JUST PERFECT," I grumbled as I pulled my pants on.

*KABOOOM*

My eyes widened in shock. "That was not thunder," I said aloud to myself. As I headed up to the main deck, my nose burned with the acrid sent of smoke. As I arrived on the deck, I saw crewmen scrambling to put out the fires that had begun. It appeared that lightning had ignited several powder kegs that were being moved from one cargo hold to another to make space for more cargo. The rocking of the boat definitely was not making things any easier for them. As I strode across the deck to aid in extinguishing the flames, I heard a shout from behind me. "GIANT WAVE! BRACE YOURSELVES!" one of the crew shouted. I had no time to brace myself before the wave crashed down onto the deck. I had only enough time to realize that I was going to be washed overboard before my head collided with the deck railing. As I fell unconscious, unbeknownst to me, a portal opened beneath me and I drifted through it.

OOC: Because this is on Destiny Island, and I am sure you meant to wash ashore, Kai is now laying on the beach of Destiny Island.

THE NEXT MORNING

I decided to walk the beach of Destiny Island barefoot; my sandals laced in the fingers of my right hand. The sun was shining and there was not a single cloud in the sky. Kitsune bounded happily in and out of the waves; his mouth open and his tongue flapping in the breeze. I giggled happily as I watched my silly fox enjoy himself.
"I'm happy to see that you're enjoying yourself, my little oaf!" I exclaimed.

I walk out from behind a shack I'm building and notice a familiar blonde walking the beach. "Namine!" I yell happily at the sight of my old friend. I run up to the girl and smile. It's been far too long. "How have you been?" I ask the smile still broad on my face.

Alice had come to the beach, to get some relaxation because she was going to "rip that imp's head off and serve it's body with glee to the soldiers." She had returned to her younger form and began to play in the sand, when she noticed the scaly body laying in the sand, she approached and began to poke it. "you alive mister lizard man?" she asked without relent with her pokes.

I extend my left arm and shove Blaze out of the way. I then run over to Alice and lift her up without hesitation and hold her close to me.
"Oh, Alice. I have missed you so very much!" I exclaim giddily as I squeeze Alice tightly against my frame.

Alice giggled as Namine lifted her. "Lady Namine, there is a man thing there." She said as she pointed at Kai.

I lowered my head in defeat. "I love seeing old friends." I say sadly.

As I begin to regain consciousness, I notice voices nearby. Sitting up, I open my eyes only to have to squint them due to how bright it was. "Where am I?" I groan as a lance of pain shoots through my skull.

"OoO, watch out little one!" I exclaim as I tickle Alice's stomach. "You don't know what kind of infectious diseases that man thing is carrying!" I say in a jokingly scary voice. I have over at Blaze in an attempt to say hello, but then shift my gaze to the man thing that has washed ashore. "HEY," I yell as I begin kicking at it's side "WAKE UP! GET UP AND GO FIND A PROPER PLACE TO NAP! THE BEACH IS NOT YOUR PERSONAL BED!"

"I wasn't napping." I replied as I stood up. "The last thing I remember before waking up here was being washed overboard by a giant wave while traveling aboard the Vashira. Perhaps you can enlighten me as to where it is that I have washed ashore?" I ask, pain still shooting through my head.

Alice immediately hid behind Namine when the lizard guy looked about, transforming the arm behind Namine into her demonic claw, while keeping the rest appearing as a scared little girl, just in case the strange being began to attack.

Noticing the little girl's fear, I crouch down to make myself as least threatening as possible. "It is all right little one. I do not mean anyone here any harm. All I seek is to find out where I am so that I might return to my journey," I said, trying to alleviate her fear.

"You've washed ashore Destiny Island." I state plainly as I gesture towards myself. "I am Namine," I stare at the man's unique features.
"What is he? And where did he come from?" I wonder silently.

"You have my gratitude. My name is Kai Dagan," I said, a frown forming on my face. "I am afraid I do not know where this island is. I hail from the Land of Dragons and have never heard of this place before."

I squint at Kai Dagan, prying at the weakest wall within his conscious mind.
"I have confirmed your place of origin," I say in a serious tone. I gesture towards the treehouses on the island. "We have plenty of places for you to rest your head and regain your energy. It sounds like a very tiring experience."

Alice returned her arm to normal and gave a light bow. "I shall go and fetch food and drink." She said before stepping through a sin rift.

"Thank you, Ms. Namine." I said as I turned towards tree houses. "Perhaps a little rest will soothe this pounding in my head," I said as I began to proceed towards them.
