The Plains

Vergil looked around. he noticed he was on a large plain. a heartless on another large birdlike heartless came charging. "how about a little joust?" Vergil asked as he began to rush the heartless. he unsheathed his blade and slashed the heartless rider and made it fall off. It began to immatate a monkey. he slashed it's mask like face and it dissappeared into darkness. he turned back to the ride and smacked it's skeletal like head with his sheath, and it's head fell off then he stabbed it's body. "I win." He chuckled as he swung his blade around then sheathed it.

(I'm bored so I'm jumping in here Hope you don't mind.)

Zeke had seen the whole thing from his perch in a far off tree. Only brought one gun with me, so if this guy isn't friendly I'll have to use that one.

"Nice sword play." He said as he moved closer to the stranger.

(no, I don't mind, feel free.)

Vergil looked over at Zeke. "Thanks. who are you?" Vergil asked as he approched him with his thumb at the handgaurd of his katana ready to fight him if he was hostile.

"A simple soldier... super soldier actually. Though due to certain events I have been forced into taking a permanent leave of absence. Name's Zeke. Your's?" Zeke answered. Spotting the man's hand so near his sword, the corners of Zeke's mouth turned up into a smile. "Would it make you feel a bit easier if I kept my only weapon visible?"

"Yes, it would... bullets can't kill me but they do hurt." Vergil said pulling his thumb away from his handgaurd, seeing this man had no visible intention of fighting with him.

Zeke moved his hand to his back where he kept Shiroku. Pulling it from the holster, Zeke held it out in front of him so that Vergil could see it. "These aren't your run-of-the-mill bullets though. Unfortunately, that also means they're harder to buy."

Vergil looked at the gun in disgust. "I personally don't like guns. True warriors don't use them. I prefer the blade." Vergil said.

"As I said, I'm a super soldier. And while my prefered weapon is the pistol, I also use a katana, which I don't have on me at the moment, but I only use this gun as a last resort due to its power." Zeke said. Kicking a pebble into the air, he fired and the pebble disappeared into a cloud of very fine dust as the air around it imploded onto the exact center. "Best used against those who like to wear armor."

"Very interesting, it's better then the handguns my brother uses. and bullets don't work on me. no matter how powerful they are." Vergil said remembering his fight with Dante on top of the tower.

"Anyways, I told you my name. May I have your's?" Zeke asked, letting his wrist rest on his shoulder so that Shiroku was pointing behind him.

"It's Vergil, Son of Sparda." Vergil said looking down as if the name was a curse.

"Hmmm, don't believe I've ever heard of Sparda." Zeke said, running his free hand through his hair. "Though I doubt you've heard of my homeworld. So I guess we're even."

Vergil scratched his head then turned east. "Heartless are coming." he said pointing to a large dark spot far off. "want to have some fun?" He said drawing his katana.

Taking out a single bullet, Zeke loaded it into Shiroku. "Yeah it's about time I had some fun. And don't worry I'll only use this if I'm forced to. Hard to find bulets and all that, remember?"

Putting Shiroku back in its holster, Zeke slipped into one of his fighting stances.

within a few seconds the Heartless engulf the pair. Vergil jumped up onto one and slashed it across the face riding it to the ground, and doing a backflip off of it as a largebody came charging at him.

Zeke moved and soon lost Vergil as the battle encompassed his mind. He struck at the based of the neck for the first one and pivoted for a roundhouse at a second.

Vergil ducked under a big body's punch and his hair fell down over his face. he stuck his katana through the big body's gut then pulled up, and began to chop it into confetti. 'I hope that that super soldiers having as much fun as I am.' he thought cutting through a Neo-shadow.

Zeke moved fluidly, striking each Heartless at full strength. A spark of movement behind him caught his eye and Zeke turned, only to find a Heartless throwing a punch at his back. With one hand, Zeke caught the punch and with the other held Shiroku up against its face, right between the eyes.

"Die," He muttered as he pulled the trigger, putting a half inch hole in the Heartless' head.

Vergil jumped onto a large body and crossed his arms. "hey stupid, I'm up here." he shouted to it. the other heartless began to attack him but he jumped off before they made cotact with the big body. "This is why I like to fight demons." He said as he smacked a soldier across the face with his sheath.

"How rude of me! I forgot there were more of you." Zeke said, smiling like a madman. Bringing Shiroku up to aim, he began shooting what seemed randomly.

Five Heartless fell instantly, allowing for Zeke to reload as fast as he could. Consisting of a movement to flick the empty casings from the chambers, toss up six more bullets and bring Shiroku around to load them. "I don't think I've had this much fun in ages."

As Vergil was cutting up heartless he was hit in the shoulder by one of Zeke's stray bullets. he dropped down on one knee. "Hey, Watch where your aiming." He said as a neo-shadow jumped on his back.

"Don't get in the way then. I may seem to shoot randomly, but really do aim." Zeke responded, bringing the butt of Shiroku down on a Heartless' face before turning and shooting another in a vital area. "They just keep coming. So much for living to fight another day, eh?"

Spinning around, Zeke shot at the Neo-shadow on Vergil's back before turning back to his half of the army.

"Yeah, but this is fun." Vergil said slashing a solider as it clanked by. "At least we don't have to worry about the big ones." He said as he sent a summon sword into a big body that came barrolling at him pushing it back on a group of neo-shadows, then dissappeared in a blur and began chopping his half of the army making their numbers dwindle. "How many do you have left?" Vergil asked Zeke as he slashed another soldier.

"Eh 'bout half of what I had when I started. I'm taking it easy on 'em, but if you want to duck and cover I'll take care of them almost instantly." Zeke said, as he reloaded six more bullets after emptying the chambers of Shiroku once more.

"Very well, you take care of them" Vergil said before sheathing his blade and disappearing in a blur. "But don't come crying to me when you get overpowered." he said before leaving completely.
